Limited Edition Benefit x BirchBox Review

I was so excited to see that BirchBox had hooked up with my one of my favourite make-up brands Benefit to produce this one off limited edition box. Its aimed at new mums as the perfect capsule make-up collection, now my days of sleepless nights are long gone (thankfully) but this is the perfect box for working mums or those heading off to do the school run without wanting to scare other mums at the school gate.

The packaging on the box itself is lovely and the sturdy box design means that it can be used well after the products inside are finished.

I was delighted to open the box to find a few of my favourite products nestled inside and a few newbies that I couldn’t wait to try out.

For the Eyes:
They’re Real Mascara RRP £19.50 This is the UK’s best selling mascara and once you have tried it its not hard to see why. This stuff doesn’t budge, it gives the most amazing wide eyed look even when you aren’t feeling that bushy tailed, perfect for a busy mum on the go. It is slightly more expensive than your regular high-street mascara but in my opinion it is well worth the extra money my make-up bag is never without this miracle worker.

It’s Potent Eye Cream RRP £25.50 I will admit until recently I have never even used an eye cream but as I hurtle ever closer to 30 and realise that I can’t burn the candle at both ends anymore a good eye cream has become essential. I am looking forward to trying this out over the coming days but from my initial use it feels light, absorbs quickly and definitely made me feel a bit more awake this morning.

Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer RRP £21.50 Now if your going to take the time to apply your make-up and are looking for a flawless finish a eyelid primer is essential. This can be used alone or under eye-shadow for that picture perfect finish every time.

For the Face:
Instant Comeback Facial Serum RRP £36.00 The most expensive sample contained in the box this fast absorbing formula feels light on, absorbs quickly and certainty seems to give tired skin a pick me up. This should be used after cleansing and before moisturiser twice daily.

The POREfessional RRP £24.50 This is already a staple of my make-up bag and a little goes a long way. It gives an airbrushed finished and is oil-free and leaves skin beautifully soft and line free. It can be used alone for that perfect airbrushed look or under foundation for a little added staying power.

Dew The Hoola RRP £22.50 (available from 26th March) This is Benefits iconic Hoola bronzer in gel form. Its easy to apply and provides a flawless finish and in my opinion is far better that its bigger sister Hoola powder.

Benetint RRP £24.50 This is a rosey glow in a bottle. It can be used on lips and cheeks and lasts for hours without the need to reapply. Its a perfectly natural colour and will suit every skin tone.

Benebalm Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm RRP 14.50 this is an amazing lightly tinted lip balm with just a hint of a perfectly rosy glow. Its enriched with mango butter which will help even the driest lips feel beautifully smooth in no time.

This box has an RRP of over £50, but at £24 is a complete steal, perfect for that new mum in your life or as a fantastic capsule make up collection for yourself and perfect for holidays as the small sizes are perfect for hand luggage at the airport.

*This box was bought and paid for and this review is completely impartial and in no way sponsored by BirchBox or Benefit*
